The centre operates under the auspices of County Mayo VEC and is approved by the Department of Education and Science. We are located on Ireland’s largest island, 40 minutes from Westport and linked to the mainland by our new whalebone bridge.

Had a fantastic stay here – took 15 Scouts and wore them out. The facilities are basic – don’t think the center has had a penny spent on it since 1870 (excluding equipment), shame on the VEC because this could be the jewel in your crown with the staff you have there – they were fantastic, knowledgeable and confident; at ease with kids of all ages, they couldn’t do enough for us and helped keep the kids entertained in the evening. Food was great with an inexhaustible supply of tea.
I will be booking here again without a seconds hesitation.
