Achill Outdoor Centre offers an exciting array of programmes and tours for primary schools on a residential or non residential basis.
The activities are of an adventurous outdoor nature including a mix of water based activities such as canoeing, surfing, sailing and land activities such as orienteering, archery, outdoor challenges, indoor rockclimbing, camping and co-operative activities.
All of the activities are carried out by our professional staff in a safe manner and at a level where every student will be involved.
MULTIACTIVITY TOUR where students are given tasters sessions in water sports and land sports over a day long period. Lunch can be supplied or you can bring your own.
Bookings are now been taken for next year, book now and avoid disappointment.
RESIDENTIAL ADVENTURE TOUR
In these tours, more time can be given to activities which relate to strands in the Physical Education Curriculum, Geography and Social Personal and Health Education e.g. orienteering, map skills, water safety, climbing wall, basic first aid, camp craft and navigation skills. Our usual array of adventurous activities are also included e.g. surfing, canoeing, sailing, archery etc.
Programs duration can vary from one day to five. All food, accommodation, instructors and on-course transport is included.
